A CHEEKY monkey stole a Brit tourist’s phone — before taking selfies and a video on it.
Oliver Lloyd, 19, had it snatched out of his hand on a visit to the Uluwatu Temple in Bali, Indonesia.
He and his girlfriend — with the help of temple guards — spent more than an hour searching for the culprit, who was among hundreds of macaques.
The thief was eventually cornered thanks to a phone tracking app — and Oliver was stunned to find saucy primate pictures on his device.
Oliver, a finance apprentice from Telford, Shropshire, said: “I was taking some photos of these monkeys to send to my mates.
“I put my phone down towards my pocket for a second and I hear my girlfriend shouting my name and little Abu snatched my phone out of my hand.

“The monkey then runs straight into the forest out of sight.”
He said they went into the forest “and there are monkeys everywhere”.
After a lengthy search, they eventually located it via his girlfriend’s Life360 app, and a guard returned the phone to a grateful Oliver.
He went on: “We run out of the forest and my girlfriend says, ‘Imagine if the monkeys have taken selfies on your phone’.
